Well, I got in 12 laps, one more than last year. I'm pretty pleased, but would have liked to have gotten at least 3 or 4 more. It was good enough for 20th out of 38. Looks like 94 miles and 14k feet of climbing. I'll have more to add later, as for now, I gotta get some more to eat, and some more sleep.
my right palm is literally a massive bruise...weird. And my fingertips are numb...weird.

Stumbled across the blog on mtbr. I grew up in NW NC before I got the the wise idea to go to Grad school in Kansas. I enjoyed the pics on your blog, brought back a lot of memories. Good stuff. I you get a chance you should definitely go up to the Mt Rogers region. There are literally hundreds of mile of multi use trails that are rarely used and a ton of fun. The Va highlands horse trail can be kinda swampy, but is a great winter ride once the ground freezes up.
